Tell Chiron’s Seattle office to stop doing business with HLS
Chiron is a major biotechnology company that maintains offices around the world, including in Seattle. The Seattle research center has been doing business with Huntington Life Sciences (HLS), one of the world’s largest animal testing laboratories.

HLS is responsible for imprisoning 70,000 cats, dogs, monkeys, birds, rabbits, fish, mice, and farm animals all for the purpose of experimentation. Experiments include toxicity to pesticides, herbicides, household products, pharmaceuticals, and genetically modified organisms. HLS has been exposed on several occasions in undercover investigations revealing horrifying animal cruelty and spurious science. Each day, nearly 500 animals are barbarically and unnecessarily killed at HLS facilities.

Please contact Chiron and urge them to stop doing business with Huntington Life Sciences.

Tell Adidas to stop using kangaroo skin in their products
Earlier this year Viva! (Vegetarians International Voice for Animals) filed a lawsuit against the Adidas company for illegally selling the Adidas Predator football boots in California. The Predator boot is made of kangaroo skin and California prohibits the sale or import of products made from kangaroos, crocodiles, or alligators.

Every year, millions of kangaroos are killed for their skin and appallingly, the number one group responsible for this barbaric trade are sports shoe manufacturers. These manufactures purchase the skins from adult kangaroos and their joeys and process them into soccer boots. Adidas is one of the trade’s major customers and have become the powerhouse behind this industry.

Please contact Adidas and let them know that there is no need for them to continue supporting an industry that causes so much pain and suffering. Also, let them know that by continuing to make and sell products made from kangaroo skin they are telling the world that they completely lack all compassion and ethics.

Ask Trader Joe’s to stop selling eggs from battery caged hens
The animal rights group Compassion Over Killing (COK) recently discovered that Trader Joe’s has been selling eggs labeled "Animal Care Certified." The "Animal Care Certified" program is the egg industry’s latest strategy which aims to deliberately deceive consumers into thinking they are buying eggs that came from humanely treated hens, when, in fact, this is not the case at all.

"Animal Care Certified" eggs come from hens who are overcrowded and packed in cages with about six tenths of a square foot per bird. The cages are stacked, which allows excrement to drop onto the animals below. These hens are "force-molted" or starved and kept without water in darkness for up to 18 days, in order to shock their bodies into repetitive egg-laying cycles. Some animals will die from the stress while others will die in the act of laying their eggs.

Respectfully urge Trader Joe's to refuse to sell any eggs from battery-caged hens.
