Join us at PAWSwalk Tomorrow!
So your Saturday just opened up and you are wondering what to do with your day? Grab your dog and come bark in the park at PAWSwalk! Your participation will help injured, orphaned and homeless animals get the second chance they deserve.

There will be fabulous animal-friendly shopping, canine massage and agility demos, a newly expanded kid's zone, and more. All this and a beautiful walk through Seattle's Magnuson Park with fellow animal lovers.

Online registration at PAWSwalk.net is closed, but you can easily register at the park the morning of September 6. Registration opens at 8 a.m. and the walk starts at 10 a.m. Find more information about events scheduled for the day as well as directions to Magnuson Park at PAWSwalk.net. Hope to see you there!

Orphaned Cubs Get a Second Chance
Two Black Bear cubs were captured by the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife last week after being found alone in a campground along I-90. Tragically their mother had been struck and killed by a car just a couple of days earlier.

The bears, too young to be on their own, were brought to PAWS Wildlife Center for rehabilitative and medical care. Most likely the two will stay at PAWS until next spring when they are old and strong enough to return to the wild on their own.

Cats are in Crisis
Hundreds of accidental, unwanted litters of kittens are born every year, and cats are euthanized twice as often as dogs. Year after year we at PAWS, along with our colleagues around the state, work tirelessly to help bring cats out of this crisis.
