PAWS

Dana

Hi there everyone!

I want to thank you for taking such good care of me during the five weeks I was at PAWS. You rescued me, took me "off the streets", especially nursed me back to health when I was so sick, but most importantly you gave me lots of attention and kind words.

Before I was adopted, a family came to see me three times, and each time you told them that I had a terrific personality, I am nice and friendly and would be such a great addition to any family! I was so excited to know that these were the people that I would live with and get to train!

My family has done a good job figuring out what I want them to do. They play with me when I look over at my toys (the one with the feathers is my favorite); let me drink water out of the faucet from the tub; let me play "pounce" with their legs, when they walk by; listen attentively to me when I meow, grew wheat grass for me to chew on (my favorite chewing item!) and let me sleep on their beds when I want to be ther!

They took me to the Vet's and we had a lot of fun. I got to play wuth a new toy from the vet while my family learned about the responisibilities of having a cat.

I took a trip to the San Juan Islands and I showed them how well I travel in my crate and can handle new places. I really liked the bugs that I found there.

Things are going well, I have adjusted to my new family and still have to figure out the parrot and why I can't have such a tasty morsel. He talks to me, but yells when I am close to his cage.

I have shown everyone that I understand what the word "no" means and stop doing what I have been asked not to do (or jump down from the piano or shelves). They think I am very intelligent and listen well (like I said, I am training them!).

Again, thanks for rescuing me, taking such good care of me and for finding me a home that me so happy.

Sincerely,

Dana
