We got sweet Dobby March 8th of 2003. She didn’t come through PAWS (but through Homeward Pet Adoption Center) – but any adoption is a good one! Dobby is a mix of a variety of pups and we aren’t sure what! When we brought her home (the Dobby 3 03 08 08 picture above) her hair was about 10 inches long and totally matted. She could hardly walk from the mats under her front legs. Well, first she was shaved and then bathed, and she could walk quite well – just a limp at times from arthritis as Dobby is 11 years old. We thought we were adding a disabled senior to our crew (Skipper – a rescued, one eyed Lhasa, and Puss a 17 year old rescued Maine Coon) but Dobby is the youngster of the bunch and loves a long walk every a.m. and p.m. and she can jump amazingly high for someone with such short legs!

Now she is adorable – with curly silver hair (requires regular grooming but she’s a doll – even when I use the dremel on her nails). And, she just loves to rest her head on anything handy as she guards our home during the day.

Just wanted to share this and thank you all for helping the animals. Our three bring us such joy – we’d have even more if we had the space.
