PAWS: Animal Tales

Max

I just wanted to take a second and give you an update, on Max, a Border Collie-Chow mix that my boyfriend and I adopted at the end of March. I don't know how anyone ever gave him up, he is a wonderful dog. He's well behaved, doesn't bark, or bite, listens to commands and learns new ones very well. We have two cats and we were a little afraid of how they would get along, but they have become very good friends, sometimes the three of them eat together, and play together, just the other day I caught all three of them sleeping on his bed. In the few months we've had Max he's been to quite a few places, it's not unusual to see us at Marymoor down in Redmond (they have the best offleash dog park around), or at the offleash area at the Edmonds beach. He gets along great with other dogs, and there is never any aggression. He also went camping with us, which I think we all had a blast especially him, all the new stuff to sniff, and we took him to Ocean Shores. He's never shown any interest in the water till we took him to the ocean, now he can't get enough of it.

I thought that was strange because I thought herding dogs hated the water, but apparently not him. (My mom has a dog that is German Shepard, Shelti, she's a big herder and she hates the water) Anyway we just adore him, thank you so much for bringing him into our lives. In a couple of weeks he's gonna be going camping with us again and I'm sure he's gonna be thrilled.
