In memory of O'Malley
O’Malley
was one of the fluffiest orange tabbies that have
ever lived. He had a rough start to his life,
but after coming to live with Marshall and eventually
Michelle too, he began to live the good life. After
10 years of life, he left this world too quickly,
but will be remembered by so many people, and his
furry brother, O’Shaunessey. O’Malley
loved to have his picture taken and his ideal Seattle
rainy day was to be inside, either sleeping on the bed
or on the dining room carpet. He was a big, fat,
fluffy cat, and was a chatty, loud, raspy-sounding
kitty who looooooooooooved to talk talk talk. The
only laps that he would sit on were his mom and dad,
Michelle & Marshall. Anytime visitors would
come over to the house, he would usually go into hiding,
or come out and visit briefly enough to meow and then
run away when you went to say hello to him. He
would also wait for Michelle to get home from work,
either waiting for her in the yard, or if he was inside,
he would be waiting at the top of the stairs for her.

Erik’s
favorite memory of O’Malley is when he was roommates
with Marshall in
Ballard and O’Malley would lie out on the carport
roof in the sun, overlooking the yard, causing Erik
to start into his Serengeti Desert
spiel. His
fur would blow in the wind and he thought he owned
that yard.
Erin didn’t
know O’Malley very well, but thought he was
quite pretty (for a boy) and used Michelle’s “O’Malley,
so fluffy” spiel every time she saw him.
Danielle’s
special memory of O'Malley was when he was a kitten
and would come over to their house for a visit. His
favorite game was to drag himself across the orange
shag carpet with one front paw. It was funny
every time.
Katie’s
favorite memories of O’Malley are when she would
come over to visit and want so badly to hold him,
but every time she would approach him, he would run
just out of reach. Also, when he was lying next
to her, she could move her hand close to touching
him and at the same distance each time, he would let
out his signature meow. Katie would play this
game over and over with him with the same result each
time!
O’Malley – although
your time on earth was short, know that you were loved
by so many and will be missed forever!
