I have been meaning to write and thank you for all for the opportunity to meet Tessie and bring her into our family.

Joel and I adopted Tessie in February 2002 after Joel fell in love with her. Because of a heart defect, it looked as though she may not be adoptable, but since Joel and I had volunteered at PAWS for 10 months, we were allowed to bring her home.

Today Tessie is a happy, 10 year old girl! Her stenosis has been greatly reduced due to her taking Etenolol (yeah!) She spends her days relaxing in our house and playing with our 2-year old son Joshua and 13-year old adopted cat Maggie.
