Are rabbits the best pet for you?
Many people bring rabbits into their homes as pets during Easter time every year. Although rabbits can make wonderful companions just like dogs and cats, people often get these animals without fully understanding the commitment. Consequently, shelters are flooded with bunnies in the weeks and months following Easter and sadly, many of them are euthanized.
Are you thinking of adding a rabbit to your family this Easter? Consider the following facts about these amazing, sweet animals and then head to your local shelter or rescue group, where thousands of wonderful animals are waiting for new homes, just like yours. Keep in mind though that children and rabbits do not always make a perfect match.
Rabbits:

- Need regular grooming, including nail trimming
- Jump up high in the air when they are happy
