PAWS Wildlife Rehabilitation Center operates an emergency hospital and specialized recovery facilities designed to rehabilitate sick, injured and orphaned wildlife, restore them to full health, and return them as functioning members of their wild population.
Our on-site rehabilitation and veterinary teams provide expert care for more than 260 species of mammals, birds, amphibians and reptiles. PAWS is only one of two permitted facilities in Washington State to rehabilitate American Black Bears and marine mammals, primarily Harbor Seals.
If you believe you have found an injured, sick or orphaned wild animal, please contact us for the appropriate next steps for your situation.
If you are experiencing a wildlife conflict, the PAWS Wildlife Center has resources and experienced staff to help you find a humane solution to your problem.
PAWS Wildlife Center is the only wildlife rehabilitation center in Washington State equipped with immediate and continual veterinary expertise and services, all in-house, 365 days a year.
Rehabilitation is a major part of PAWS’ work with wildlife. To be released, animals must be able to function in their natural habitats as normal members of their species.
By actively training and educating others, the impact of PAWS’ work on wildlife extends far beyond our center’s boundaries.
Diseases are likely to manifest more quickly in animal populations than in the human population. With this in mind, PAWS is actively involved in monitoring patients for foreign/exotic and emerging infectious diseases.
