Adult Bobcat

November 5, 2019

The patient of the week is an adult male Bobcat that was likely hit by a car. A former PAWS employee found him on the side of the road and realized he was still breathing. Due to his critical status, our team immediately treated him for head trauma on arrival to reduce swelling in his brain.  Radiographs indicated that he had only minor injuries otherwise. The treatment worked well as he was able to sit upright the next day. He continued to improve every day for over a week. Now he has fully regained his vision and coordination. We transferred him to Sarvey Wildlife Center last week to finish the last stage of recovery and assessment!
