Cedar Waxwing
November 20, 2019
The patient of the week is a Cedar Waxwing. In the last two months, we received more Cedar Wax Wings than we usually receive in a year! We have admitted nearly thirty for various reasons, such as hitting windows or being grabbed by cats. These stylish birds specialize in eating fruit, a rare adaptation for birds in North America, and tend to have glutinous appetites. We are unsure of the reason we are receiving such an influx this year, but just released six of them recently!
