Coyote
December 4, 2019
The patient of the week is a Coyote that is suffering from sarcoptic mange. He arrived very thin, dehydrated, and due to the mange, has patchy fur. Mange is a skin disease caused by parasitic mites, but fortunately is easily treatable with Vet supervision. We have also noted this young pup is favoring his left forelimb, though there is no evidence of injury. For now, he is on cage rest and eating very well.
