Adult Beaver

This male adult beaver was stuck in a high-wall ditch for a week. It is unclear if he fell into the ditch or entered while the water level was high and got stranded when the water drained. Fortunately, he was still in good body condition and didn’t suffer any injuries. We returned him to his wetland shortly after he arrived. We plan to work with the landowner to make a small modification to the ditch, so this doesn’t happen again.
