Baby Anna’s Hummingbird

March 31, 2020

A pair of nestling Anna’s Hummingbirds arrived several days ago after their nest was seemingly abandoned. Unfortunately, one of the infants died before they arrived, while the other was hypothermic and weak on arrival. With supportive care she has perked up and is taking feeds well (every half hour!). It is important to note that infant hummingbirds need a specialized diet to thrive, so if you find a potentially abandoned hummingbird nest, please use our online self-service or call us at 425-412-4040 before providing support!
