Northern Alligator Lizard
April 29, 2020
The patient of the week is a Northern Alligator Lizard that was rescued from a cat. During her initial exam, we found a puncture over her right hip. Cats saliva can carry bacteria that often causes serious infections in small animals, so she is on a course of antibiotics. Our veterinarian team is managing the wound and we hope she will fully heal for release.
