Young Bushy-tailed Woodrats

These two young Bushy-tailed Woodrats somehow made their way into a car at a campground. The campers drove home many hours, and their dog found the woodrats under their car the next day. It was crucial to get them care as they hadn’t eaten in a while and were hypothermic. Their eyes were closed which means they would still be nursing. Our animal care team provided heat support and started feeding them regularly. The two have bounced back and have a very healthy appetite. After feeding, they often sleep curled up together.
