American Black Bear
October 21, 2020
We received the third American Black Bear patient of 2020 recently from Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife. She was spotted for many days alone without mom before biologists assessed the situation and confirmed she was orphaned. Initial exams indicate she is in relatively good shape, and she just completed her quarantine period. We will care for her and the other two bear patients until late spring when they can all return to the wild.
