Snow Goose

The patient of the week is a young Snow Goose found grounded in Edmonds. She suffered multiple fractures including breaks on both her right radius and ulna. She was likely still migrating from the Arctic Tundra, where she hatched earlier this year, when she was injured. Our veterinary team wrapped her right wing to promote healing and protect her flight feathers. The good news is she is eating well and has gained weight in care. We hope she continues to improve going forward.
