Raccoon Vehicle Collision

The patient of the week is an adult Raccoon that was likely struck by a vehicle. He arrived in care with multiple soft tissue wounds and signs consistent with a traumatic brain injury. Our veterinary team immediately administered IV fluid therapy for his presumed brain injury, provided pain management, and treated his wounds. He has shown some initial improvements in mental activity and we are hopeful he will make a full recovery soon!
