Juvenile Anna’s Hummingbird

March 17, 2021

We received our first juvenile Anna’s hummingbird of 2021. This patient was discovered in the street after its nest was presumably disturbed. Hummingbirds and so many other wild animals live, eat, and nest in our yards in even the unlikeliest of places. Nesting season has begun for Anna’s hummingbirds and many other species will soon follow. We need to be vigilant when we prune shrubs or remove vegetation.
