Bald Eagle Subadult

This subadult male bald eagle was brought to the PAWS Wildlife Center last week after rescuers discovered it grounded, distressed and unwilling to flee when approached. The veterinary team did an exam and concluded the individual was generally healthy apart from some minor injuries. PAWS staff returned the young bird just days later to the family farm where he was found. The eagle immediately took to the air when released, perching a few times to get his bearings before soaring away over the pasture.
