Education/Youth Program Volunteer

Duties: Youth Program Volunteers assist with youth programs at PAWS. Volunteers help set-up and clean-up, supervise groups of children, assist with tours, and help lead activities. These programs include Scout Programs, Teens and Preteens Helping Animals workshops, and tours.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with educational programs at PAWS in Lynnwood for groups of up to 16 people
- Help with set-up and clean-up for each program in Education Room
- Provide adequate supervision for young people ages 5-14 during program
- Assist with hands-on activities throughout program
- Inspire enthusiasm for animals and actions that help companion animals and wildlife
- Report any challenges with program materials or groups to Education Staff
Time Commitment: Twice per year.
Qualifications:
- Must love working with children!
- Must live in the greater Seattle area (including King, Snohomish, and Pierce counties).
- Must be able to transport self to PAWS in Lynnwood.
- Must have customer service skills and the ability to professionally represent PAWS policies when interacting with the public.
- Must be able to work independently and be receptive to feedback from staff.
- Must be able to bend and lift up to 20 pounds.
- Must be able to pass a background check.
