Duties: PAWS Facilities Caretaker Assistants are an integral part of the PAWS, Lynnwood campus, helping us maintain our facilities, build and fix items and enclosures in need of some TLC, and ensure our grounds are safe and beautiful.
Duties Include:
- Painting
- Building and repairing caging units
- Clearing brush
- Cleaning and maintenance of PAWS facilities
- Minor plumbing and electrical work.
Qualifications: Tasks involve learning about caging needs of Washington’s wildlife as well as on-the-job training in construction skills.
- Completing the online New Volunteer Orientation, attending a PAWS Info Session, and completing Basic Skills Training (with Facilities Caretaker).
- Must be able to work cooperatively with staff, volunteers, and interns.
- Comfortable with quickly picking up new skills and working in an ever-changing, fast-paced environment.
- Capable of working under limited supervision, after being fully trained.
- Comfortable approaching staff with questions and asking for direction when needed.
- Ability to tolerate working in varied weather conditions.
