Duties: Shelter Transport Team members are responsible for transporting PAWS animals safely from one destination to another.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely crate the animals for transport.
- Transport dogs and cats from shelters within Washington State to PAWS Lynnwood Campus.
- Transport dogs and cats from airports within Washington State to PAWS Lynnwood Campus. Airports include the following:
- Boeing Field in Seattle
- Paine Field in Everett
- Seattle-Tacoma International Airport in Sea-Tac
- Transport dogs and cats to and from local veterinary hospitals.
- Load and unload animals upon arrival, ensuring the animals are placed in a safe enclosure.
Time Commitment: Flexible
Qualifications:
- Possess a valid Washington State driver’s license.
- Hold automobile insurance.
- Own a vehicle that meets the requirements for the safe transportation of animals.
- No outstanding vehicle violations.
- CAS volunteer in a direct animal care position for a minimum of three months.
- Have a current, signed copy of the Volunteer Contract and the Volunteer Waiver & Release form on file.
- Access to internet and email.
