Duties: The PAWS Wildlife Naturalist collects photos and video of many wildlife patients, and can always use assistance in organizing and labeling all media collected.
Duties include:
- Downloading photos onto PAWS shared drives
- Using the PAWS label protocol to name all photos
- Organizing photos into correct folders
- Utilizing RaptorMed software to find pertinent information and upload photos into charts
- Cutting video to clear space on PAWS shared drives
- Assisting with creation of videos to share with social media department and public viewing
Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must complete PAWS New Volunteer Orientation and Wildlife Info Session.
- Must have PAWS Volunteer Contract and Liability Waiver document on file.
- Must have completed and passed background check.
- Must be able to work cooperatively with staff, volunteers, and intern.
- Must be organized, efficient and flexible, and able to balance concurrent projects and adjust to changing needs.
- Must be able to become proficient with the wildlife center’s database, computer systems used in operations, PAWS media labeling protocols, and possess basic computer skills.
